How to create a Date Page

1. How to access
To create a new Gallery Menu Item:
- Stpe 1: Select Menus → [name of the menu] from the drop-down menu on the back-end of your Joomla! installation (for example, Menus → Main Menu).
- Step 2: Click New to create a new menu item or click on an existing item to edit.
- Step 3: Click the Menu Item Type Select button and then click the Date link under the Articles link.
To edit an existing Date Menu Item, click its Title in Menu Manager: Menu Items.
2. Details tab
This layout requires you to select:
- Choose category: you can select all categories or select one of the categories
- Menu Title: The title that will display for this menu item
- Menu Location: The menu that this menu item will be part of. The menus defined for the site will show in the list box.
3. TZ Basic Options
The TZ Basic Options control the way that date information is shown in the layout. The Date Layout has the following TZ Basic Options, as shown below.
- Redirect To: (Use Global/Default/Blog Article/Portfolio Article). Display detail article in front of Blog article page or Portfolio article page.
- Article Limit: Optional field that follows you to customize number of articles.
- Use Filter First Letter: (Use Global/No/Yes). Whether or not to use filter with the first letter of the article title.
- First Letter Text: Optional field that allows you to use the first letter of the article title to filter. Must enter the letters in the form of “a,b,c,d…”.
- Show Limit Box: (Use Global/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the limit box on this page.
- Show Attachments. (Use Global/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the article’s attachments.
- Show Extra Fields. (Use Global/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the article’s Extrafield.
- Extra Field Type. (Use Global/Text/Image/Text And Image). To display article as a text, image, text and image.
- Fields Order. (Use Global/Most Recent first/Oldest first/Title Alphabetical/Title Reverse Alphabetical/Ordering). The order that fields will show in.
- Show Tags. (Use Global/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the article’s tags.
- Show User. (Use Global/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the article’s user.
- Show User’s Gender. (Use Global/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the User’s Gender of the article.
- Show User’s Email. (Use Global/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the User’s Email of the article.
- Show User’s Url. (Use Global/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the User’s Url of the article.
- Show User’s Description. (Use Global/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the User’s Description of the article.
