How to use Megamenu

HOW TO USE MEGAMENU

Step 1: You can create all the menu items including parent menus and child menus.
You can see our example:

Step 2:  Navigate to “Extensions /Template Manager /Select a current style of your template
Step 3: Go to the tab “Navigation” / Go down and navigate to “Navigation Type” and select “Megamenu”
Step 4: Go down and navigate to “Megamenu Configuration” and select “Main Menu”
Step 5: Configure in the “Megamenu Toolbox”
There are 3 level of configuration: sub-megamenu setting, column setting and menu item setting.

a) Menu item setting

Item. Configuration

When configuring menu items, you should focus on 4 things:
Submenu
Extra class
Icon
Item caption

+ Sub-menu:
If you want your menu item to have sub-menus, you can click the Button “Yes”

If you don’t want your menu item to have sub-menus, you can click the Button “No”

+ Extra class:
To be convenient for writing CSS, you can add “Extra class”

+ Icon
You can also add icons for menu items. It is a decorative way for menu items.

You can find types of icons here:  “http://fontawesome.io/icons/”

+ Item caption:

b) Sub-megamenu Settings

When configuring menu items, you should focus on 4 things:
Add row
Submenu width
Alignment
Extra Class
+ Add row:
If you want to add row, do like that:

config.submenu.add.row

config.submenu.add.row2

If you want to add many rows, you continue to click the button “+”.
If you want to delete these rows, you click these rows and click the button “-”.
You can see the following picture:

+ Sub-menu width
You can change the width of submenu like that

+ Alignment

+ Extra Class:
To be convenient for writing CSS, you can add “Extra class”

c) Column Settings

When configuring columns, you focus on
Add/remove column
Width of columns
Module
Extra class
+ Add/remove, width and extra class
If want to add a new column, do like that

config.column.add.column

+ Module
You can select modules available
Or
You can create modules you want (Go to /Extensions /Module manager) and then publish those modules and continue to select modules as normally when configuring columns.
Here is an example for selecting module.
