I want to disable the shareit buttons at the bottom of each post-type page. I'm not interested in this. It could not find settings for this anywhere.

Thanks!

Hello Jacco,

TO disable these buttons, pls help me to add following CSS to Custom CSS in Theme Option:

.tz_portfolio_like_button .TzLikeButtonInner{
display: none;
}

Let me know if it works.

Best Regards,

Hi Giang,

Thanks for the quick reply. Your CSS hack does indeed hide the buttons from view, but they are still loaded in the background. From the perspective of tracking I'm not too happy with just hiding the buttons.

I took a look in the source and saw that this was indeed not as easy as a simple setting. I have removed the "tz_portfolio_like_button" sections, which I'll continue to do for newer versions. Or I'll try a smart fix with your -child theme.

However I do urge you to make a toggle for this under theme settings. I think that a lot of users of people with personal profile pages have no use for this feature and it would be a clean solution to remove such a section vs only hiding it.

Cheers!

Cool, that sounds great! In the mean time, I have added a solution using the -child theme. I am really happy with this feature.

I'll share my solution below, but I cannot endorse it as it might present performance and security issues . I am no developer or security expert. But it works for me and might be right for you too.

Make sure you are switched to the profiler-child theme. Inside the profiler-child folder create a new file single.php and add

<?php

# Get the source from the original single.php
$code = file_get_contents(__DIR__ . "/../profiler/single.php");

# Remove section from source
$code = preg_replace('#<div class="tz_portfolio_like_button">(.*?)</div><!--end class link button-->#s', '', $code);

# Evaluate new code
print eval("?>" . $code . "<?php");

?>

Do the same for single-portfolio.php, make sure to update the name as well in the file_get_contents function argument.
