Getting Started

To install this theme, you must have a working version of WordPress already installed. For more information regarding installing the WordPress platform, please see the WordPress Codex. In fact, the WordPress site actually has tutorials walking you through how to set it up.

Please note that we do not give support or any questions related on how to install and maintain WordPress. For any faulty installation that may cause your website or our theme malfunction you should refer to WordPress support forum. Alternatively you can get help from your web hosting.

Basic Requirements

1. Theme Requirements:

  • PHP 5.4 or newer
  • Mysql 5.x
  • WordPress installed

2. Plugin Requirements:

After successful installation it is highly recommended to install/activate all plugins delivered with the theme. Some plugins are REQUIRED (mentioned below). Those plugins MUST be installed. Recommended plugins are optional.

Installation

Unzip the downloaded theme package. You will see 4 folders inside. You can refer to File Structure to learn more.

Via FTP
  • Unzip autoshowroom.zip in theme folder of theme package.
  • Upload the extracted folder in previous step into /wp-content / themes/.
  • To activate the theme, go to Appearances --> Themes> and activate the installed child theme.

Via WordPress
  • Navigate to Appearances--> Themes
  • Click Add New button and then hit the Upload Theme button
  • Click on Browser to upload autoshowroom.zip in Theme folder and click Install Now.
  • Click Activate to activate the installed themes.
  • Activate required and recommended plugins: After successful installation, it is highly recommended to install/activate all plugins delivered with the theme. Some plugins are REQUIRED. Those plugins MUST be installed. Recommended plugins are optional.

- Congratulations! You have installed AutoShowroom theme successfully. To use this theme easily, you can import demo data and follow this document to set up your website.

How to import Demo content

  1. Install and activate Plazart Installation plugin.
  2. Navigate to Dashboard > Plazart Installation.
  3. Click Activate Product button
  4. In the popup box, login Envato Account.
  5. Click Proceed
  6. Wait a few seconds for the account verification.
  7. Open Demo Importer, choose a home version.
  8. Check All Plugins
  9. Click Install Selected to install and activate all plugins automatically.
  10. After all plugins are installed and activated, move on to the Import Demo Content. Check or uncheck each type of content you want or don't want to import.
  11. Click Install Demo Data.
  12. This process may take time to have all done. Please be patient.
